The UK Property Awards 2016 by Anais Rosswag

Last month was a wonderful month for Maisha Design. We are proud to announce that we won our first UK Property Award for our gorgeous Butlers Wharf Residential project. We could not be happier and are honoured that our work has been recognised as excellent by the international design community.

We would like to thank all of our marvellous clients and suppliers for all the support and opportunities they have given us since Maisha Design's inauguration in 2011 and we cannot wait to share our future successes with you!

Butlers Wharf by Anais Rosswag

We are delighted to announce our newest project in Shad Thames - a beautiful 3 bedroom warehouse conversion in Butlers Wharf!

Our clients briefed us to create an elegant and modern interior. This being their second home, they wanted something that was comfortable and relaxing but had a touch of glamour and luxury, elevating it from an everyday property.

The concept therefore had to be a fusion of these two aspects. We decided on using a mixture of delicate textures in neutral colours to create comfort and contrasted these with splashes of bold hues and stunning metals to create a glamorous feeling whilst keeping the interior modern. We ended up deciding on the following concepts for the flat:

The Living area

For the living area we decided on a gorgeous scheme of copper and indigo tones, creating a moody and luxurious living space, perfect for entertaining and relaxing.

The Bedroom:

For the bedroom we went for a softer scheme of greys and contrasted these with fabulous teal hues and hints of brass to create a stunning master bedroom which is not only cosy but chic and modern .

We can't wait to share the final project with you so watch this space as we will be uploading pictures of it very soon.

Remember our stunning warehouse conversion with an industrial edge we blogged about a couple of months ago? It is finally on its way! Our contractors have been busy stripping the flat back to brick and our now putting up the first walls. How exciting! Seeing the layout we have been designing so meticulously finally take shape, is our favourite part of the design process.

We cannot wait to show you the finished project but for now, here are some snaps:
